Art Work Requirements

ART CHARGES start at $45.50(v) an hour with a 1 hour minimum.

CAMERA CHARGES are $10.00(v). By providing camera ready,
color separated art-to-size, art preparation charges can be avoided.

Camera Ready Art

CAMERA-READY ART is artwork that is pasted up, to-size, color separated and ready to be shot to film or stat.

COLOR SEPARATION should be ****************************

BLACK & WHITE should be sent in the form of a stat. Laser printer output can be used, especially for non-sublimated or four color process produced products.

COLORED ART should not be sent since a camera may not be able to pick up some colors. Rubylith reproduces well.

Suggested Point Sizes and Line Weights

Almost every product varies due to the material with which it is made.

IMPRINTING METHODS AND COLOR COMBINATIONS will determine the most satisfactory point sizes and line weights for production. As a general rule, artwork for items produced through direct print.

SILKSCREEN METHODS should not have type below 12pt. (san serif) or 16pt. (serif). All rules should be one point or greater. LARGE REVERSE should be avoided regardless of the products.

LETTERPRESS OR HOT-STAMP METHODS should have a line weight of at least .25 and point sizes should not be below 6 (san-serif) or 9 (serif).

Halftones

All artwork with halftones is subject to approval. Unfortunately HALFTONES do not print well on direct print products, (i.e.. silkscreen items made of polyester Mouse pads & Wrist Rests and Headbands) because. the dot patterns tend to fill in. Some very coarse halftones can be maintained, on Mighty Grips, when kept within the 20-80% range.

Artwork on Disks - should be Mac  formatted.

Emailed art can be Mac or PC created files.
If it is necessary to send ARTWORK ON DISKS please follow these guidelines:
ALL FONTS must be included on disk. (This includes both SCREEN and  PRINTER FONTS). When possible save all text as curves so fonts are not needed.
ALL original SCAN,EPS,TIFF's etc included in the art compositions MUST also be INCLUDED.

Composite hardcopy - Printed HARDCOPY should be with COLOR separations.
